Progress

[March 24, 2015]

We had our first meeting after spring break and it was very productive. Sam spent Spring Break working on getting 501C3 status for us. Additionally, we are still planning our Volleyball Tournament which will be held April 3, 2015. We will have prizes for our winners. To sign up a team, you will need a minimum of 6 people and max of 10 and it's $10 a person! If you'd like to sign up, send us an email and we'll help you out!

[March 10, 2015]

After some setbacks due to weather, we finally hosted our event, "baby goats on campus" and it was a major success. Students and faculty all over campus came to see the baby goats and there was never a short line. In the end, we made over $600 through the event (that's about eight goats!). We were very excited about the turnout and can not wait for our volleyball tournament in a few weeks.

[February 2015]

We are so excited to be hosting our first, on campus event. On Tuesday, February 24, we will be having baby goats on campus. Students are invited to come pet, hold, and take pictures with baby goats for just $1. As of February 21, we are expecting a little over 1,500 students to show up for the event.

[January 2015]

We are opening officer and director positions at UT Austin! If you are a UT student and interested, please find our contact details on the next page.

In less than six months of work, we have been honored on the house floor at the 84th Texas Legislature for our charitable efforts! The resolution highlights our efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and research.

[December 2014]

We went on a our very first mission trip to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas to donate our first herd of goats. Special thanks to Samuel Garcia, Jovan Marin, and Christopher Martinez for donating livestock to the Alegria and Chavez families.

Our efforts have been highlighted by The Monitor here.

[November 2014]

Our first general meeting was held in the Governor's Room at the University of Texas Union. It was great to see an over 50 interested members! We are excited to see what impact we can make.
